It says online digital download code for borderlands the pre-sequal, is it for steam, or something else completely?

I'm not quite sure but I believe they send a code that you put in steam.

The code is redeemed on NVIDIA's website. After putting the code on NVIDIA's website, they will email you a Steam code for the game.
