Greetings all!
I have a digital storm Vanquish II ultimate and think it is a great machine, runs everything that I play flawlessly. For Christmas I am looking at getting my wife a new pc so that she can run WoW smoother t han her current POS HP. The only game that she plays is WoW and I know it isn't nearly as demanding as many other games. My main question is should I get her the base Vanquish II or the Eclipse since they are the same price? Also will the base model of these options run WoW on ultimate settings? Thanks! |

Both the Vanquish and the Eclipse will perform pretty much the same. The Vanquish is bigger which makes it easier to workin but the Eclipse is also easily upgradable and takes up very little room.
Can't go wrong with either choice Edited by Nav - 11 Dec 2014 at 9:58pm |

Run WoW? Yes. Run WoW on ultimate? Sure... but not flawlessly. WoW doesn't look it, but when you kick the game up to ultimate settings, it's actually a really demanding piece of software, particularly now that the character models have been upgraded.
You don't have to run the game on ultimate to have a good time, of course, but if you want a machine ready for ultimate at high frame rates, I'd notch either the Vanquish or the Eclipse up a couple of price steps. They're such good deals that you actually stretch your dollar further the more expensive they get (the 4th option for both are easily the best deals). The WoW Games, Gaming and Hardware forum is also another really excellent place to run computer specs by other players, in case you want more opinions. They really helped steer me towards the right purchase here over the past week. Edited by ShrikeArghast - 12 Dec 2014 at 2:57am |

Between the Vanquish and the new Eclipse, I haven't voted yet. They both look great for the $$, especially the lvl 3 & 4. The Eclipse has the small stature and the Vanquish the more conventional size. Looks like Silverstone did a great job in the Eclipse's design and reviews and videos I've seen tend to agree.

I believe the Eclipse is built off the Silverstone RAVEN RVZ01. Whether DS has modded it with a bit of DS Magic or not I couldn't say.
It is a nice design, IMHO. |

WoW is demanding insofar that is utilizes your CPU quite a bit, and that will become your bottleneck. If that's truly the only game she plays, I would be sure to buy as much processor as I could afford.
