The PSU is listed as 750W and every 750W model I've ever seen has been SLI ready. The mobo does not list any info, but the pic looks like it has 2 PCIE connectors, so it looks like this model would support a second GTX 970.

I'm just looking for some definitive answers, can I just plug in a second 970? Will I need to replace anything like the mobo or PSU? Will I need to buy anything else like an SLI bridge?

I bought a Vanquish Lvl 4 a few month ago. Z97 Mobo and 750 power supply. Adding my 2nd 970 was easy. DS even included a sli connector in the extras box. I just plugged it in and activated sli on the NVIDIA control panel.

The motherboard picture that DS shows for the Vanquish 4 Lvl-3 and 4 is the Asus Z170-K. The Asus site states under the specifications that the Z170-K supports: "Supports AMD Quad-GPU CrossFireX™ Technology". It doesn't say anything about SLI.

Isn't that interesting. Maybe Alex needs to clarify if the Vanquish 4, lvl 3&4 will operated in SLI. I was surprised that there was no information on the motherboard on the DS site other than a picture of the Asus board.

It is not SLI ready with that motherboard. If it was, we would have stated SLI Ready on it.

seems like an oversight to me.  i can't believe that DS would intentionally limit the expansion options.  otherwise, why pair an AMD multi-gpu solution with Nvidia only graphics?

i see 2 options: 1) buy a Vanquish w/o any graphics (if DS allows this) installed and then purchase comparable AMD cards on your own; 2) move up to a more configurable line.
