Topic: Vanquish Level 1 Questions Posted: 04 Jul 2013 at 1:52pm |
Hello everyone!
So I am deciding to switch over to the pc from consoles so I don't know much about this techie stuff. Anyway, I've eyed the Vanquish level 1. I have a low budget of 700-800 ish, doesn't include monitor, accessories, etc, just the tower itself. I would like to play games like Battlefield 4, GTA V, Watchdogs, etc, on low-medium settings. Should I consider the level 2 Vanquish? I think an i5 core would be better suited for future games, though. what do you guys think? Edited by yourteammate - 04 Jul 2013 at 2:20pm |

Hi yourteammate... You didn't mention the monitor or resolution you'll be using, but the Vanquish lvl 2 will give you what you want on a 23" at 1920x1080 resolution or less. Not high gaming for some of the heavier shooters, but medium for sure.
Here's a link showing what the gtx650ti Boost in Vanquish 2 will give you. Good luck.. |

The level 2 is a great system that should get you nice performance.
I will give you a link and I am sure bpratt22 will post his soon. http://www.anandtech.com/show/6838/nvidia-geforce-gtx-650-ti-boost-review- If you think waiting a little time would get you to the level 3 system it would be a nice jump. |

Thanks for the links, they're really helpful.
I don't need the resolution to be high, 1280x720 ( something like that) is good enough for me. monitors, i got to shop to find out. I got another question, can I switch the cpu for a different one like the i5? |

The Vanquish is a pre-built, ready to ship system , so no changes are allowed. You'd have to go with Vanquish 3 or a custom setup for the i5.

Yep, you could swap it later. It would have to be the Ivy bridge i5 cpu to match the LGA 1155 socket/ pin count. I'd rather save a little longer and get it up front and not buy two cpu's and have DS do it and have it warrantied but budget doesn't always allow.
