I picked up Valheim because a group of friends I play with on Discord picked it up and I like co-op games. (I know you can PvP in the game, but that's not my bag.)

I love building things in a game and crafting and exploring and this game hits all my hot buttons. The object graphics are very low for the most part, but the environmental graphics are very high quality.

Walking through the Black Forest with ambient fog everywhere so thick you could cut it with an axe ... glowing eyes appearing and disappearing before an attack.

The game is a wonderful survival game and it works with very few bugs. It's being sold on Steam right now as Early Access and I can't believe how "complete" it feels for an "Early Access" game.

Check it out on Youtube for tons of videos showing off cool base builds as well as other more "spoiler" fill vids. (Be careful)

For $19.99, it was the best money I have spent in a long time.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've been spending some of my waiting time trying to figure out what I want to play first and can't decide yet.

Sounds like a treat. I'll take a look when they release it live. Been burned on Early Access too many times for me to ever do it again (I'm looking at you "Rust".)
