Does the Antec have enough cooling? I'm not that thrilled about the case, but I want a case with an external drive bay for SSDs. What happened to all the good cases like the HAF-X case that came with my last system? Does DS use some support for the 2080ti? Should I specify Corsair ram instead of DS brand? Thank you. Chassis

Good thing about DS is that they CAN order any case you want.
I don’t know about their very recent change to the Antec case. That style used to be a popular “Slade “ quiet case choice using a Corsair Carbide 600 series case...over in the DS workstation builds. I don’t think it had an external bay though, but check Corsair website if you are looking to use something else.. then ask DS what it will take to get one you like. Back in the day, when cards were getting longer, larger and heavier...card sag was more of a concern... Board builders (Asus comes to mind ) have strengthened the board PCIE slot mounts so less of that occurs these days...but DS can add a bracket if it worries you. Can’t hurt. Anyone who moves their rig about frequently would invite more stress on that mount, so it does still happen...especially in shipping. Edited by HockeyBuck - 01 Mar 2019 at 2:09pm |
