Well, I broke down and ordered a new Velox when facing the demise of my Aventum due to W7 not being supported by Steam. (I still use for Excell related work and will take it  apart and rebuild but it is a liquid cooled case, not suitable for air cooling so ...)

The new pc, a Velox was ordered with an Asus Maximus Z-790 Hero, 13900K, Noctua NH-D15 Chromax.black cooler, 1TB Samsung 990 PRO (added a 2TB Samsung 870 Evo)  , Corsair HX1500i, 32GB Mhz Kingston Fury Beast, GTX 1650 (took out and installed an MSI 4090 Suprim X Liquid that I had with the heat exchanger installed on top), Corsair Commander Pro controlling Corsair LL fans and W11 Pro. Also ordered a T-shirt to add to my 2014 T-shirt! :)

The pc was built in record time (ordered 11.03.2023 and finished on 11.20.2023!) I did contact Alex to see if I could get the 13900KS but a day too late) and upgraded RAM to the 6000MHz version.

It arrived with a crooked cooler but I made sure it was still properly attached. Changing the GPU was easy except the wiring. That was a chore! Also using a Cable Mod 12HPWR Angled Adapter Ver1.1 and cables. The adapter has been recalled but still using after checking that it is not getting warm at all.

It is an awesome machine! You have to get very close to try to hear it but my room Rabbiit Air cleaner is noisier! It is plugged into an APC 1500 which in turn is plugged into a ZeroSurge Power filter. (We get a lot of brown outs where I live) It only gets warm (GPU goes to 57.0C before the fans kick in and then drops to into the 30sC) The cpu P-Cores run up to 77.0C and then drop to 44.0C and the E-Cores run up to 67.0C and then drop to 42.0C. (I guess it takes time for the cooler to do its thing)  (All temps are from CPUID HWMonitor)

I have my old Asus PG279 (2K) as secondary monitor and primary being an Asus PG27U (4K) connected. Right now I only play Civ VI and WOT Blitz which are not very demanding games and everything is maxed out on those games. Getting the max 120FPS in WOT. 

I love this machine. My third DS system. It sits next to the Aventum and looks small in comparison, lol. 

My memory is not what it was, it also had the inside RAM stick somewhat disconnected (the hold down tab was out and only showing 16GB) and had to reinstall. Luckily the cooler was bent the right way so I could get in there.  In case you are wondering how I checked the cooler was still attached, I just yanked on it to see if it moved. lol

	Hey, um, errr.. hoserator... While you're out getting the new bits and bobs for the ol' booty, I could, well, if you need, possibly I could babysit the new system for you. Consider it a delayed Stage 8.. you know, just to make sure everything works. I'd make that sacrifice for ya, buddy... Seriously though, good luck with the op. I did try to get DS to start an account where the community could deposit funds for deserving users with you in mind when Asangard posted the Go Fund me request. 	Overkill...what overkill? I see no-thing, no-thing! That is a machine just for you, my Buddy, that is just the way you like'em. I hope it flies you far above any discomfort you might have after surgery and transports wherever you want to go! Best wishes for your new hip. I know several who have had them, and Drs. know how pretty durn well these days. All good fortune to you.
