I noticed a while back that third party cases were no longer offered in lieu of DS proprietary cases. I'm curious about how their Velox case matches up against the old HAF-X case. Any opinions?

My opinion since I've never seen a match-up, but the Haf X was the best for air cooling and still remaining relatively quiet. It worked great in the day when video cards ran a lot hotter and the air flow was needed. I think the Velox would also give you excellent air flow and stay quiet if the fans are adjusted properly. Video cards today aren't as power hungry or run as hot as the gtx 570, 580 days so Velox works.
Keep in mind the Velox is an inverted mobo design, meaning the window is on the right and not left side and the video card and psu have upside down logos and seating. Nothing wrong with either but just be aware. |

Also, unless something has changed, if you do decide you want the HAF-X you can always have DS special order it, though obviously there will be added costs there.
