But what are the temps under load? Idle is really kind of pointless, except to let you know you have good contact. Silly lady... next thing I know, you'll be saying Trix aren't for kids.

I was overclocking a friend of mines i5 3570k for him last weekend. I took a picture of it real quick showing the "boot up" temps. I overclocked it to 4.4 ghz, and as soon as I was at the desktop, I immediately started the prime95 test, so it didn't have a ton of time to idle. But it still shows you the start temps. And after 12 hours, I averaged 69C. I keep my house at around 68F.
I also just installed a brand new Corsair H100i on it right before I started. ![]() |

Imagine if we could create a massive radiator setup that customers place outside in the winter. That could deliver some seriously cold temps!

So its pretty cold outside 9 degrees, i'm sleeping and apparently the lovely wind pushes the back door open not sure how long it was open for but i'm glad i don't live in a bad town or anything. Anyway my computer in the living room a couple of feet away from that door.
When i wake up and notice the stupid door open i shut it. I then decide to check my computers temps just to see what they are on idle and: Edited by ArkansasWoman777 - 06 Jan 2014 at 8:40am |

Those are Great temps. Maybe you should market whatever you did.
![]() Seriously, I would try HWMonitor instead of Real Temp and stress it to heat up the chips. Obviously, something is amiss. Unless your room is still at 9 degreesF .Just checked my idle temps with Real temp at a room temp of 65F... CPU is at 25-30 C. Load with WEI went to 53 C. Not gaming but a quick check. ![]() Edited by bprat22 - 06 Jan 2014 at 9:07am |
