I was looking at another thread (it was locked) and I came upon a question and response that caused me some concern. Someone had posted that a 2GB 285 card only gets 4FPS more than a GTX-275.  Is this accurate?
When I was configuring my system I had asked DS whether a dual GTX-285 with 2GB ram each setup with the possibility of a 3rd in the distant future be a better set up or a single GTX-295 with the the possibility of a 2nd in the distant future be better.  I was advised that the 285 setup would be better.
It's already too late to change being that my rig is ordered, but which of those configurations is the better choice?

It was me that said it and yes there is only like 4 fps difference, and yes 3 x 275/285 is better then 2 x 295.

best option would have been 2 x 275 with a third being added later.

of course now that the 5870 is out, the best option is 1 x 5870 with second one being added later if the power is needed.
