Aloha, I've been reading the forms and was wondering, for a 24 in. or larger display (lcd) is a single card sufficient or is it better to have an SLI setup? Also, if a SLI setup is selected which power supply would be recommended?

750W or higher for SLI.
A single 8800 GTX would give you good framerates. If you want better, you can go SLI. |

I'm assuming resolution for the monitor is 1920x1200? Either the 8800GTX or preferably the 8800 Ultra, should give you playable frames with a single card, SLI GTX will probably grant you the best performance without spending the $$$ for a pair of Ultras.
Tom's Hardware 3Dmark06 scores @ 1920x1200x32,4xAA,4xAF
8800GTX SLI: 4463 3Dmarks
8800Ultra: 2825 3Dmarks
88800GTX: 2477 3Dmarks
8800GTS(640MB): 1716 3Dmarks
I included the 640MB GTS to show how much performance begins to drop off with cards below the GTX at that resolution with the eyecandy dialed up.
For SLI GTX, I would go with 850W or better.
