My main concern with ordering a water cooled Aventum PC is the ability to upgrade the video cards on my own without having to ship the computer back.
Can existing Aventum 3 owners comment on how hard it was to upgrade a water cooled SLI system? Is it possible to install quick release connectors directly to the fittings where the tubing connects to the video cards so that upgrades contain next to zero risk for spillage and would then just require a fluid top up? Is this practical with hardline tubing? |

I don't think you can use QDs on hardline just because there is absolutely no give on the plumbing at all. If you order soft tubing make sure you request the QDs since I can't tell looking at the images if they use them on those. Someone with an Av3 and soft tubing will have to answer that. (They came on the cpu and gpus on the Av2 with soft tubing.)

Generally, DS puts QD on flex tubing but not Hardline. Plus, even if Hardline had QD, any new video card has a good chance of not lining up with the water block inlets and outlets. Hardline has no flexibility.
With Aventum, there is the distribution waterblock header to make any swapping easier , even with Hardline, and DS could probably sell the necessary tubing, connections. Flex tubing makes life easier and cheaper. Hardline has the looks by some standards. DS does change things regularly, so call them for the latest.
