For the money to performance ratio what video card would be the best choice, a gtx260, 9800gtx, 880gt sli, or the 8800gts sli?

I like to think long run also, so I would have to say 260 GTX.

the other choices are sli, so I can't add a card later, with the 260 I can enjoy a great GPU and add another later for sli and basically handle anything you throw at me.

The 9800GT and HD4850 has the best performance per dollar.

The higher you go in price, the less performance per dollar you get. Unless of course another 8800 GTX miracle happens but that is highly unlikely with how AMD and Nvidia are playing today.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.
