I have a friend who <<ominous music>> bought from Dell <<screams>>.  Well, let's just say, it didn't work.  Some kind of network incompatibility between the the card and Vista.  He sent it back and is looking for a replacemnt.  I recommended you guys, but he really isn't looking for a gaming computer.  He's more interested in a video editing machine.  He has most/all of the software he needs, but since I haven't seen any real discussion about how DSO computers work as a video editing box.  But, then again, I haven't been looking for that information.  LOL

Anyways, if someone could let me know if it has been used this way and what to consider, do let me know and I'll forward the info.

Many people have purchased Digital Storm systems for CAD and video/photo/music editing.

I would recommend this build:

i do tons of video editing on my rig, while skyrs pick would have some perks, id say most systems you get here would be well suited for editing/rendering
