I'm shopping for a new security suite and I'm not finding great user reviews of any of the "big three" (McAfee, Norton, OneCare).  Since I implicitly trust DS for my hardware build, I'm wondering about your collective opinion on antivirus software.  I see that DS has partnered with McAfee for virus protection software.  What was the reason behind that decision?  Are there other reccommended alternatives e.g. ZoneAlarm, etc.??

Thanks as always.

Panda, AVG, NOD32, and Lavasoft Ad-ware are highly recommended.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

If you're running XP...I'd recommend Avast. It's free and it works great. I have been running Norton for ever and paying the annual fee for the latest updates, but it became a huge resource hog. I uninstalled it and loaded Avast...and Avast found 2 viruses that Norton had not dectected at all. Just say NO to Norton.

Avira Free AV is highly recommended by me.

Free updates for life, realtime protection. What more could you ask for?

http://www.free-av.com/

Also, it doesn't have a lot of overhead like...cough..avg..cough

i found that NOD32 and Kasperkey are the best, NOD32 has really good threat protection as well.
