I've tried downloading the SP1 for vista 4 times. I contacted microsoft, they sent me 8 PAGES of possible solution's. I've disabled all programs but, nothing works. Does anyone have any idea about what I might have to do? Microsoft's instructions are ridiculous, I'll be lucky if my computer does'nt blow up. VISTAAngry a big one.

i had a few problems getting mine to dl because of a lost connection about 90% in, you could try to just remove all of your previous windows updates, and install sp1 standalone WITHOUT THE AUTO UPDATER; dl the .exe from windows
sp1 includes all prev updates
 
that would be my first suggestion, but without a history of what you have tried im not sure where to start

I had no issues downloading it the first time.  If you've downloaded the previous Beta version and haven't uninstalled it prior to installing SP1, then that may be your problem.  As lender has eluded to, we need some history if you can give it up.

I wish I had never installed Vista SP1.   My Ideazon gaming keyboard wont work with SP1.  I didn't think I had to read the Ideazon forum before installing a service pack, but apparently I do.  Sucks for me.

yea i resisted installing it for quite some time but it acually seems to have worked fine for me, sorry to hear it wasnt the same for you
