I, reluctantly at first, had Vista Ultimate installed on my rig.  Figured, new system, new OS.  I heard a lot of bad stuff, but now that I have had it and played around with it, I do not seem to be having any issues. All of my loaded up games, new and older, run like a dream.

Sure, this new OS has a lot of features to get used to and I have not even begun to scratch the surface as to what it can do and what is in there.  But, I can not see the issues people are having.

Question is, what stuff should I be looking out for  as I get deeper into it or tweaks that I should be making and such to make sure it continues to work well for me?

Post issues as they arise.  One's experience will differ from another's.  The configuration of your rig and the OS you've picked, and all the other variables that float around your specific time frame that your rig was assembled, new techs, misinformation and newer hardware, are going to give each of us a varied experience.

I've had no issues with Vista Premium 32 bit. I'm very glad I switched from XP Pro, not that I had issues with it, I just like the look and feel of Vista.  I think it blows XP away.  I see no performance drops between the two OSs as it comes to gaming.  The rig I have is powerful enough to nullify any subtle nuances that there may be.

I'm glad to see a market that has a choice in it when it comes to an OS.  OSs are very subjective.  I've seen more people posting with problems that have dual GPUs, more powerful PSUs and bigger Mobos.

Hmmmm...
