Ok, I'm running Vista Ultimate x64. How the hell do I disable the 'This program needs your permission to continue' pop-up? I've only had it for a day and it's already starting to bug the crap out of me.

UAC-just go into control panel home and search UAC.  It will give you the option to disable it.

Its probably because its name is 'UAC' and Google wouldn't recognize 'this program needs your permission'.  I agree it is the most annoying feature of Vista.  However, it is good for the grandmas out there with no knowledge.  Stops the viruses.

I am used to Linux/Unix based systems so I have to turn this off so i don't go crazy. Even with it off there are way too many prompts but that is Windows way of stopping people from damaging their own system.
