Voltage question, I'm baffled

     Ok, my water cooling pump died a few days ago. Justin assured me that these pumps last 5 years or more and mine died in 3 months! DS shipped me out one right away and I got it put in and things going today Only 3 days of down time but it was harrowing using my wifes computer with her always asking" "can I have it back yet?"
   So, it didn't start up right, I had to reset the Cmos re-boot and enter everything I could remember or had written down. Then when I got it all set up (2 hours, maybe 15 re-boots) and it finally was running at the right speed I opened up HWmonitor and noticed that the Cpu voltage was low, like 1.32, opened Cpu-z and it said I was running at 4.08Ghz! When I got the system it was running at 4.0001Ghz and the Cpu volt was 1.45.

  I went back into the bios and found that it said "with Vdroop" and I know it used to be without, so I changed it and now the voltage says 1.446 and the speed is 4.0007. Why would it be a little faster and with less voltage when it has Vdroop disabled. The multiplier is 21, the bus is 190.5 (it used to be 191) and the Qpi link says 3429.4.

  Now on the Ram side of things, how do I know what the ram speed is? Cpu-z says it's Dram frequency is 952.6 Fsb Dram says 2:10. Under HWmonitor it says the voltage is 1.75 which is what I set it at but Cpu-z says 1.65.

  Please help un-confuse me.

	the pump has a 5 year waranty, and sounds like you got a defective pump, or is ran dry at some point. V droop disabled, means motherboard is bumping up the voltage, to try to compensate for the natural voltage drop that occurs under load. the CPU speed is not read correctly with Cpuz, with Evga boards, it will read somewhere around .5 low on the multiplier, but it fluctuates, so that is why your speed will vary some. your RAM speed is easy, your B clock is 191 x RAM multiplier of 10 = 1910Mhz, Cpuz will report RAM speed a bit different because it is DDR RAM, double data rate, so multiply CPUz x 2 and it will all = out. All voltages reported in HW monitor will be wrong, there is nothing in the damn program that reports correctly, nothing. If you want to know what your voltages are, use a digital multi meter, and manually check them. Cpuz does not report RAM voltage, just the rated RAM voltage, if you set it at 1.75 in the BIOS, you are pushing things. Edited by justin.kerr - 02 Apr 2010 at 9:08am

	Hey Justin! Man you get up early. Ok, I have corsair dominator 1866mhz ram and DS set the voltage at 1.75 when they built it, I just copied it down. Is it wrong, should I drop it to 1.65?
