For those who have systems configured with the nv 3080, have any of you received your system yet? If so, how long did it take? I've heard that the backlog is as much as a month so...ouch. Was really hoping to have my system in time for Cyberpunk 2077, but beginning to sound like that might be a no-go.

It very well could be one month and it does not matter where you go, here, other builders, trying to buy it yourself.
All you can do right now is get in line. From what I read, supply is getting better, but still slow getting enough out to meet demand. It might not be until late this year or early next before supplies get close to meeting demand. |

Oh, I know it's not exclusive to DS. Not even complaining really. I also am very aware of the global shortages. I mean, would I like it sooner? Sure. Just mainly curious about the wait.

I am waiting on one as well. I have made another post about it but in that post I detailed what DS told me when I called them previously which is basically that they are getting periodic limited shipments of the cards but cannot advise any kind of reasonable ETA for any specific case. I think most of us are just in a holding pattern in stage 4 currently. I was told probably in November based on the day I ordered but that they really couldn't know for sure.

Yeah, I don't know if it's any better or worse to be stuck in any specific stage, but I'm still in stage 1. Probably means I'm lower priority for any that come in too. For those stuck in stage 4, how long have you been there?

Id just shoot them an email and they'll be happy to let you know what up. On the brightside cyberpunk was delayed so that buys you more time. I can tell you i ordered my rig with a 3080 in september 3rd and am getting it arriving today! The wait wasn't on the 3080 at all though mine was on the case. also just checked their website and they don't have any eta times on the cards right now. Before they did for the founders edition so chances are they actually have some in stock. :)

Good news! We got a huge batch of RTX 3080 in on Friday, so oerders should be moving next week.
Only delay is on waterblocks still. If your order is air-cooled, it should be moving quickly. |

Thank you kindly for the update, Nav. Of course double whammy since I also ordered liquid cooling, but oh well lol.

No, you're good! The liquid cooling he's talking about is a custom loop including the GPU. You have the AIO (all-in-one) on the CPU only which means your GPU is air-cooled.
What a ton of storage! Do yourself a huge favor, and partition that NVMe to make your C: drive as small as you can. I advise you just use it for Windows and your maintenance software, browser, etc. so you can scan it in seconds. You can also clone it to an external drive very rapidly. If Win ever tanks, and you have to do a fresh install, you won't have that many apps to re-install. Edited by Cretae - 01 Nov 2020 at 3:04am |

Yeah, PSD files eat a lot of space quickly (I do a lot of digital art). I also do app dev work, so over time project files add up. I thought I was well-provisioned with my last build but ran out of space more quickly than anticipated.
