I am looking to purchase the LYNX. I want to use an Oculus Rift. The oculus configurations are compatible with the $999 BUT Digital Storm shows the $1299 to be VR compatible. anyone run the $999 lynx config with the oculus or would I need to purchase the $1299 config?

The gurus will answer your doubts correctly. I would venture that since the Lynx Level 1 does not have a discreet (separate) video graphics card (GPU) and runs the video directly from the cpu (Central Processing Unit) it would not be strong enough.  Have no idea what the requirements for the Rift are so cannot give you a better opinion.

Cheapest you can get VR capability here is the Lynx Level 3 at $1299 plus shipping is what DS says.

For the money, it's a pretty durn strong build that will last you a pretty long while.

As Hoserator said, the level 1 doesn't have a GPU. The Level 2 has one at $999, but even though Oculus says it's enough, I'd rather trust DS on this one. An underperforming GPU can give you a bad time, and even make you dizzy or worse. The level 3 can do it well.

You can always call or e-mail DS for more info. I'm pretty sure they'll tell you the GTX 1650 is marginal, but maybe it's okay.
