Hi,
I want to buy a HDD and put it in an external e-sata enclosure for a backup drive. I was going to go with this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136073&Tpk=wd5000aaks) which is western digital blue and it is the same I currently have in my PC.
Is it worth it to buy the WD black? Any better really? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136320&cm_re=wd_caviar_black-_-22-136-320-_-Product)
Was even thinking of using the black in my PC and using the blue as the back up.
Also, any recomendations on the enclosure? Just needs to be e-sata for me. Was thinking of this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371008&cm_re=antec_external_enclosure-_-17-371-008-_-Product)

There is not going to be that much of a difference but the black does have 32MB of cache, so it would be a little faster.

Yeah probably just best to go with another blue if it isn't any more reliable. My blue seems plenty fast. Anyone with any e-sata enclosure recomendations? Is an internal fan a good thing or just not needed?

you always want a fan in an enclosure.
don't know much about this one. one of the members here has one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817709026 and highly recommends it, looks good to me. personally I have to many external enclosures so I'm going for a multi HDD external with hotswap. How about those docking stations? Any good? Was thinking that they are a less permanent solution.

Yeah. I'm really liking that one you suggested DST4ME. I'm 99% likely to go with it.
