Does anyone know if this is a new Raptor; I cant find it in stock anywhere; so I am assuming it's new and due out in May since everyone who carries it say's it's out of stock and will be available Mid-May.
 
It is a 300g Raptor; I WANT ONE!! maybe 2.  If DS carries them Ill just get them from DS; I would love to set up 2 of these in RAID0.
 
Has anyone heard anything about them or do they know if its an older product or Brand New and not released?  All info would be appreciated.

It's due out in May, and something like 36Db at max RPM, so be prepared for the noise this thing is going to make. At that sound level, it could very easily be the single loudest thing in your system. At least WD claims it's still very quiet at idle, that's something.

I think my POS optical drive would beat that when it's going full bore, but other than that.... Like,"Wow!, that's loud.

My computer is set to arrive on the 11th. Id say a week later ill be ripping the video card out of it...lol! Wont have that new computer look for long!
