We did a slight update to the layout of the 'Gaming Desktops' section.
Basically we wanted to further focus the two types of systems we offer 'Black OPS: Extreme Performance & Customization' and our 'Special Deals.'
What do you all think of the updates? http://www.digitalstormonline.com/gamingcomputers.asp

Looks great Alex, but I don't like how you have go thru 4 pages/clicks to get to the config page.

You're right about that, and I thought of that as well however, we do have to take into consideration that:
We all frequently visit the configurator than a new customer would so it is more of an annoying habit for us, however, for a new customer, this allows us to educate/inform the customer about exactly what they are buying. We noticed previously that it would be confusing for many customers.
What are you guys thoughts after taking that into consideration?

Not exactly Alex, from the compblackops.asp page no matter if I click on performance, enthusiast, or extreme, I'm given 4 choices, now lets pic the haf case for example from those 4 choices, tho the prices are different all 3 selections (haf performance, haf enthusiast, haf extreme) they all take us to the same page with the same description, this page is very general and offers no real info, IMO this page is pointless, I also think the option of 4 cases/system with different prices are pointless also, I'm speaking as a customer, whether here or at another site, I hate the fact of going through a maze to get to the config page, where I want to choose what I want any ways.
I think the compblackops.asp page should have some of the info that the template pages have and the template pages should be removed. just my 2 cents. Edited by DST4ME - 09 Oct 2009 at 1:55pm |

Valid points. I believe what can do is remove the pop up that makes you pick a chassis for the Black OPS side.
