I've been ordering PCs since 1989. Gateway 2000 and then Dell. Too many to remember. This time I spent a week going through all the configurations, checking out other companies and just about gave up. I couldn't find what I wanted (tiny power supplies, etc) or the companies just didn't seem reliable (no names here). I finally found DigitalStorm and I think I've found what I was looking for. Ordered today. Wish me luck.

Thank You! Everything I've read makes me very hopeful. I definitely feel there's still a place for the bigger guys, but every configuration I came up with for MY needs made me shake my head and walk away. I was about to give up. I really, really want this DS system to be what I want. From the specs, it is. And I have a good feeling about the company.

Congrats on ordering your new DS rig.

Just a heads up... The Gryphon motherboard being a mini mobo can't sli and hold the extra cards like the wireless and sound card. The gtx 770 are each double wide and both will cover all four Pcie slots.

DS will probably get in touch and recommend the full size Sabertooth motherboard if you keep the extra cards. Or drop the sound card and use a wireless USB adapter. Motherboard onboard audio is very good.   Unless your into higher end audio it should work great.

Good luck and welcome.

Wow! When you're right, you're right! That's exactly what happened. I opted for the Sabertooth, just because I was kind of attached to my configuration for some reason. Dell has made me wary of onboard anything. This is really a new experience for me. Getting a new computer has always given me a sense of dread about what can go wrong. I'm actually looking forward to this!

WOO-HOO! Finally Stage 6! The Motherboard mix-up cost some time (my fault), but DS has been great about it. Why can't every company take pride in their work like this?

Because most companies are more interested in the bottom line.  DS is convinced that repeat customers bring in more revenue than the single purchase customer that they can screw over for the extra $100.  And the way you get repeat customers is to treat them right.  I know because it worked on me.  All of my (and the family's) computer needs will be run through DS first.

At least that's the way I see it.  StrongStrong

Stage 6... hang in there, almost to SHIPPED!!!  Excited

I could not agree more Snaike. Any computer related needs will come first to this forum and if DS can order it, install it, fix it, or should I need a new rig, I am coming here and here alone. I have never seen a company wih better support from the customers themselves on top of Alex and Nav and the rest of DS that will bend over backwards to help you out. I haven't needed it yet, but seeing others on here and hearing their testimonials, it is really amazing. And to think I had never heard of DS. Literally happened by here on accident. I just hope they don't get too big and lose that "small community" service and feel.

You're exactly right...  it's not like we've seen it before, right?  Small dedicated company sells out to large corporate entity and loses all sense of customer service while it's product goes to complete doggy-doo-doo... yea, it would be a shame.

Definitely. That is the thing. I want DS to do well, but there comes a point where it's too big. I mean how many companies can you literally email an associate like Alex to get something done? How many companies can you call and not go through 5000 voice menus over the phone and 20 minutes later get sent to India where you can't even understand what they are saying? You call DS and get to talk to a human being in the United States. They are few and far between, but DS is one!

Outstanding! ... and no, I don't mean you need to be 'out standing' at your mailbox for the next week!

Try to distract yourself over the weekend and then, before you know it, gamer on!

Also wanted to thank all of you for the love. We definitely try to be there for our customers as much as possible. I don't see us becoming so "mainstream" since our business model sells products to a very focused group of customers.
