I know you have Twisterboost but what are the OC numbers?
For example, can I specify an E4500 2.2GHz OC'd to 3.0?
TIA

DS will OC your machine to a stable point before they ship it out. You can ask DS to OC a CPU to a certain point if you wish but that depends on the CPU and the cooling method. Not all CPU, even in the same class can OC the same. I think DS can OC a cpu up to around 600MHz more on-air and may be 800Mhz more with liquid cooling.

Depends what board and cooling system you pick. Tell me what you are looking to purchase and I will let you know.

Pardon my hijack 4261, but this hits on a question I have about OCing.
I'm curious what DS could get out of a E6750 Stage 3, 680i LT(can more be had with the A1?), and 800mhz ram.

Thanks,

Well since we're talking about OC'ing.

Since I didn't opt to get the stage 3 cooling and I wanted to do it myself at a later date would DS be willing to help?

This is important, I know someone who had gotten a rig from another "reputable" PC builder that was factory OC'd, they had pushed it over 1Ghz over stock and he had stability issues almost from the very start. After many lengthy calls to tech support he was directed to lower the OC, (one of the selling points to the system in the first place), while on paper it was impressive in real life it was a headache. I doubt they even stress tested the machine like DS does.

I am also curious, on average... how far can you normally push a C2 Quad 2.4 while it is still being stable with stage 3 cooling?

DS can OC your Quadcore from 2.4 to about 3.15 with the Stage 3. That's how high DS OC my system. Of course i also had the 1066mhz ram so it should make it easier to OC.

Thats more than I expected. I would be extremely pleased with that much of an increase as long as it was stable.

From what I've read you can push the 2.4 quad to 3.0 as long as you have a decent heatsink (ie not the intel).

Exactly, it really depends on what, CPU, motherboard, cooling system, and even what video cards you have in the machine.

The reason why I said video cards, is because, two 8800ULTRA cards are going to put more heat inside the chassis, which will drive up your processor temp's a few degrees.

Go with a 680i board, not the LT if you are looking for high overclocks. The LT does not offer as many overclocking tools. We can push a 2.4GHz Q6600 on many cases with a good large case, and Stage 3 cooling, with a 680i A1 board.

Side note: We don't guarantee how fast we can overclock the machine. Every system is different, the way we test machines, we find the absolute stable operating speed.
