Your sweet spot is a 1440p (2560x1440) monitor that displays up to 144 or even 165 fps. The 3080 will play a lot of games at high framerates depending on the options enabled on your card. (Ray tracing, DLSS.)

As always, IPS is to be desired over TN panels, and G-Sync COMPATIBLE is what to look for. "Compatible" should be cheaper, and it allows more flexibility to switch cards in the future.

What Cretae said. I have the 3080, different MB but on par with your selection, 32GB with an Intel 10850 chipset. Currently running this on a 1440p, 34" monitor from MSI and I have not run in to a game that I don't get over 100 fps, UNLESS the game itself has an artificial cap.

There are tons of 1440p monitors out there, so do some research if that is the route you go. I would NOT recommend a 4k monitor you pay a very big premium price for 4k with NOT much gain as far as looks of the game. Save that money for something else. Good luck.

I did alot of research recently for this as my PC will most likely be arriving sometime this week.

Here are some options

Pure gaming: Samsung Odyssey G7 240hz $559.99 on sale for 30% off
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088HHZBGJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_Z3CJ97WXSHDEZMSNJNWH?psc=1

Alienware aw3420dw $989 was on a massive sale for prime day at $600 a few hours ago
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YLGH9Q5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_D3Z5BK9BD0CTZNJX3RVW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Cooler Master 34 Inch $749
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084ZLWJTY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_1AFGXQ0G13GG4WHKQQ4M?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

LG 34GP83A-B 34 Inch
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DWD38VX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_Y9QXY0WFTJ8SPFJ8HGW1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Nixeus EDG 34” Ultra Wide $549

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZG7R5BB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_599RF4V1XYSCY7MKG40C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The one I ordered

ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B $492.99 Just went out of stock a few hours ago

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LCMYT54/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_1WNG5MYWN1ZRJKESTWTN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The above listed are all 34 inch as you will notice there are plenty of monitors to chose from but beware they are being snatched up rather quickly especially with it being prime day.

Basically what Cretae and fw stated 144hz min refresh rate, 1440p, ips display (more likely with 27 inch variant), and g-sync (free sync is good to). Also a adjustable stand is always a bonus if not then at least a VESA compatible one so you can buy your own stand.

Also if you do end up opting for a 4k monitor. I do recommend a size bigger than 32" as anything less than thar you wont really notice the difference.

If I had the mula I would opt for this LG OLED48CXPUB.
Although it is technically a tv. It has all one would need in a monitor 120hz native, g-sync and amazing color. Plus having stereo speakers is a plus.

Get a AW2721D if you can. They are amazing. If you want something curved and more than 1440P (ie, 4K) then look into getting an AW3421DW. I have a AW2721D and a AW3420DW, they are both great monitors. I want to get another AW2721D for a Triple Monitor setup. If you give me your email I can send you some comparisons between the AW2721D and a Samsung G7, my nephew had both for a while and ended up sending his G7 back.

I absolutely love my LG 38GL950G. It's a 38" ultrawide IPS display, and it supports HDR and GSync. The in-game-immersion of a 38" ultrawide monitor is fantastic!

The AW Monitors use LG Panels so I imagine your Monitor is sweet. I think AW has a 3821DW but I’m too lazy to look at this point. 😬
