Some of you have waited much longer than I have, I only barely put in my order. But reading these posts I feel like this is going to take even longer than the time I was told and I have no idea what to do with myself.
I figured, "I'll order and forget it" but that has failed, I constantly check my email... WHAT DO I DO?! :( |

Well, I just ordered my new DS a couple days ago myself. It is replacing my 12 year Digital Storm beast that I am typing on that is showing its age. My sig block shows the new one that will be coming.
I am 69 so obviously I hope I get mine while I am still on the shiny side of the Earth. As a long time DS Customer I know the quality of DS builds and the genuine decent people on the forum that are always here to help us. I know I made the right decision again! What did you order just out of curiosity? I hope you are as excited as I am to know that soon we will receiving the latest and greatest from the best boutique computer build company in the world! |

amg0D,
I am spending my wait time watching videos on the new component benchmarks and capabilities. Well that took care of today. I will find some other way to pass the time tomorrow like a NY Times Crosswords puzzle or something. I still have my my old Digital Storm but occasionally growling beast from 12 years ago to keep me gaming in the meantime. Plus I am enjoying visiting with folks on the Forum here. Still incredible but all I ever had go wrong with this old DS beast was a cooling fan. It is definitely worth the burn-in testing wait so that you can be sure you get a system that can last 12 years like mine before you decide to upgrade. |

Yeah I'm willing to wait the wait, hopefully it isn't multiple months like I seen some others posting, but willing to wait for a quality product nevertheless. I can game on my old machine but gotta keep it to older games, even some of the older ones make it go into a screaming fit occasionally. I could troubleshoot and fix it I suppose but just to give you an idea of how old it is, my GPU is a GTX770, bought back when 1080s were king, even before 1080ti's... And as I said I've saved it at least five times. CPU cooling replaced, CPU replaced, RMA'd the motherboard (thankfully in the last year of my 5 year warranty on it), replaced the PSU twice. It's time I just let her go to pasture and do the smaller jobs I think, lol. At least work is keeping me busy, almost too exhausted to worry it seems. |

amg0D,
I haven't worked in years. I have been retired 7 years after retiring at 62. By the way, I don't get bored there always seems so many fun things to do that I didn't have time for when working. My old 12 year old computer is an Digital Storm i7 2.6Ghz with 3.6Ghz OC and an original Titan video card. I replaced the GTX 295 in it about 9 years ago. Upgraded from 6GB to 12 GB memory but that was the only upgrades. The only repair I had on it in 12 years was replacing the CPU fan within the V8 cooling unit setting on the CPU. I always kept the computer clean but never thought about taking the V8 cooling unit apart to take the fan on the inside out to clean the internal hidden heat fins. I replaced it twice, once was about 7 years ago and I just replaced it again for the 2nd time last week when it died. I had bought 3 fans when it died the first time so I still have a spare. If anybody has one of those old huge V8 coolers they ought to take it apart and remove the fan and clean the inner fins every couple years or more often. I have been very happy with my Digital Storm system and look forward to enjoying the speed and general performance of the new one when it finally arrives. I still wear my black Digital Storm T-Shirt that came with the old computer. It was a quality build just like the old DS beast. Edited by Onkel_Ken - 18 Oct 2021 at 3:57pm |

"I have 600+ games on steam, lol"
Well I guess I found somebody as insane as me finally! I also have over 100 games on my PS4 and PS5. Won't go there on what I have on GOG. You will love the Lumos. |

I wonder have you gotten your computer yet because I ordered mine on 3 October 2021 here I am in the middle of November and I’m not projected to get my computer until December what the heck this is very disappointing and I’m very close to telling them to keep their machine and I will get one somewhere else I do not want to keep being put on delay or hold because they don’t have the parts that’s not my problem that’s theirs and that’s very upsetting I should not have to wait this long for a computer two months in a week possibly if not longer if they make any other delay I will not be getting a Digital Storm and that’s very unfortunate because I’ve really been looking at this for the past six months I’ve waited long enough as it is |

I understand your frustration, but there isn't much DS can do if there is a part that can't be acquired. Right now the whole computer industry is having massive supply problems. The part they are waiting for is probably stuck in a container ship off the coast of L.A. You could try switching to another PC builder, but you'll likely run into the same issue. I know...it sucks waiting! Hang in there. We've all been there at some point. |
