I run these things regularly to keep my PC running well:

-CCleaner
-Malwarebytes
-Avast anti-virus

Is this a good list? What do you run? Is there a "best" anti-virus out there?

Thank you

As with most things, you'll read both praise and hatred for each product. In addition, each has its goods and bads. For example, the more popular a product, the more it is targeted by baddies. Furthermore, many of the "big box" tools dip their fingers into so many parts of the OS. More components and services (typically) equates to more resource hogging and more failure points. This is probably true as well for products such as AVG Internet Security -- as much as I like their products.

On my HP laptop, I have AVG Free, Spybot S&D*, and Windows Defender. However, on my latest desktops, I've skipped an active (third-party) AV and sticking with just Spybot S&D* and Windows Defender (for now). Web browser activity tracking and general nasty stuff blocking feature improvements have helped prevent malicious stuffs. Of course, also in conjunction with sensibility.

* Immunization only. I've had the System Scan function kill things such as Windows Update.

-- All systems run the latest Windows 10

Your list seems fine to me. In general, I recommend limiting tools to your most vulnerable tasks, choosing those well reviewed and acclaimed by trusted peers, etc.

I use to run Avast on my other PC, but started having issues with it. Also, I don't like that it is developed in Russia. Currently just running Windows Defender and keep Windows up to date.

"Best" is relative to each individual and their needs.
Have always heard good things about Malwarebytes and CCleaner, currently have CCleaner installed also.

I am using Malwarebytes premium and windows defender. I am also careful where I go and rarely click on links unless I know who is providing them.

CCleaner
Malwarebytes
Super Anti-Spyware
Windows Security

Avast has installed itself on this system at least a half dozen times without my permission. What the heck is up with that? I look out for that, and it sneaks in there anyway.

I've used the various iterations of Windows for anti-virus since 2010 and Win 7. I've never had a single issue, and I typically search the web every day. It works for me. Previously, I had compatibility issues with Norton that drove me batty, so I was very happy to have a Microsoft product that never conflicts with Win or anything else so far.
