I was looking at a website called crazyPC, and I noticed they have clear acrylic cases.  Have you guys ever thought to carry an all clear case where you could see every single thing?  they look awesome as all hell.

I swear, that website has some CRAZY looking stuff that looks just awesome.  Such as fan guards with skulls (hell yea, thats metal) all different kinds of things.

Originally I was going to build my new rig and go with a clear case but when I was checking out the various cases available what I noticed is that they tend to scratch/smudge alot faster than regular cases.

Although I'm not sure about it, I get the feeling that they have a higher tendancy to crack than other cases do. They just seem abit more fragile I guess.

It would be nice to be able to see everything that's going on but then I definitely wouldn't want any cathode lights.

they are pretty damn thick cases.  I went to a computer store by my house and I seen one there.  That thing was very sturdy and thick acrylic, Although I don't know how it would be with cooling.

At that website www.crazypc.com they had a wierd cooling unit there.  Now I know they sell these at other places, but it's the first time I have ever in my life seen such a thing. it's a freezer unit, I believe you have to modify the bottm of the case and the case sits on top of it.

this is that wierd cooling unit.  http://www.crazypc.com/products/9290GT.html

ah very true, I just read up on the cases, I guess if you tighten the screws to much, you can crack the case.

WOW!!!! a vintage style laptop.  Thats @#$%'n sweet.

Do any of you use fan guards, such as skull fanguards, dragons, etc etc?  You guys should seriously sell thoughs.  I know it's not a performance thing but on top of that, you will be seeing some nice exterior on some of these computers.  I am not saying there not nice, but WOW that would be sweet!

seriously though, that laptop looks SICK!!!!!

I think they would be great right up and until the dust started. It would bother me to the point of distraction.
