i was on engadget today and noticed that a company has annouced that they have gotten intel's new i7 - 2600k up to 5GHz. does DS have any info as to testing any of the new processors or anything of that sort. thanks

5Ghz is not an issue, nor is is hard to do at all, even on the 1156 socket I have them over 5Ghz, and they are harder to do.
Even if it is stable, it is prolly a ringer setup, just for publicity. No different than them sending me 20 CPU's and a few mobos to cherry pick components, and push the crap out of it to get crazy high stable overclocks, but not something that they are going to normally do for customers.
