1. what's your budget?

2. the x55 motherboard won't be able to upgrade to the 6 core that's soon to debut. the i7-920 will be a better choice, but answer q. 1 first.

3. select the 750w corsair psu. a brand name is more silent and reliable.

4. what's your resolution? i think the ati 5850/5870 will do. nvidia doesn't have dx11 available currently, only ati does.

5. the asetek is not a good cooler .. it's not a genuine liquid cooler. the v8/noctua are more reliable with an overclocked 3.2 ghz - 3.8 ghz processor.

What 'cho talkin' 'bout Phillip? Yes, the monitor will work with that config. I'd never buy a monitor from the Egg though, if you got six pixels down in the entire monitor you can't return it, or maybe 5. Anyway, better to buy in person, like BB, they'll take it back for 1 dead pixel.

That monitor will work perfect for your system without breaking the bank.  Looks like a very solid choice out of the other sub 200$ monitors offered.  I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

As for the comment about retail stores.  Buying a monitor is a lot like buying a TV, it's generally good to view a working product before purchasing.  I'm sure if you've been to Walmart or Best buy and seen their TVs that they have displayed, just because they have the same specs does not mean they have the same picture quality.  With how many monitor brands and models out there finding a specific model can be difficult at a retail location.  Retail stores also seem to have 20% higher prices than an online store.

i would like to know as well. i recommended certain changes in my previous post, but it seems like i'm getting pointed at, haha.

of course that monitor will work on that configuration (??), but it 'can' be improved if you haven't already ordered yet.

Hey guys, I'm not laughing at anybody, it's not like me to do that. I too am under the impression because he states will this work with this system I have. Have, so he has the computer either already or it's being put together and he wants to know should he go ahead and get that monitor.
Yes, if that's what he likes it will work with the system listed. Sure there are things to make it better but if it's what he has, it will work. Agreed?
