I’ve been here 7 years and still have no idea.    They keep it secret and because we don’t know what they delete, I recommend Not paying for it.   The system comes in clean anyways and can’t imagine what’s needed.

In my opinion, it's a throwback to when RAM used to come in much lesser amounts than nowadays. Microsoft could use up "too much" system RAM to enable all kinds of bells and whistles they were fond of that many gamers would not typically even notice. DS offered this option then to slim down Windows to make more RAM available for the games themselves. These days, RAM is so much more plentiful in a typical system, that I don't believe it's an issue.

Not knowing precisely what gets left out may gimp your OS in ways you might not want, so we tend not to think "one size" could "fit all".

IMHO, a complete waste of time and money. But, what do I know?
