I suspect its a fan speed or direction switch? But Im not sure when or why I should choose to use it. Can I get some advice?

What model case is that on? I don't think it has anything to do with the AIO cpu cooler. There appear to be something marked on the plastic under it but it's not clear enough. Is that a small led light next to it or a hole? If a hole, maybe it is just a sliding cover. |

I'm curious about the case as well. It looks like Large Fan --> Pause --> Small Fan. Which leads me to believe it's some form of fan control as well, but I'm not sure which case this comes from. |

Per Antec, that is indeed a fan speed controller. The settings are "High," "Stop," and "Low" from left to right. What fans this controls exactly will depend entirely how on the system is wired.

Thank you, I am now not afraid to use it. I was cautious because it controls the fans on the front of my case, and I believe its for the fluid tank

If your temps are good, noise is good, and you have no issues with the setup then I see little reason to ever mess with it during normal operation.

Agree but it will hurt nothing to play with it and see what temps and noise level do. I have a case with a 3 speed front fan switch and I keep on low setting unless I am playing. Keeps dust and noise down. Enjoy.
