My new awesome DS computer is set up. It has the new 10 core i7-chip overclocked to 4.1 Ghz. I could use Real Temp to monitor core temps under load for my older overclocked systems. But I can't seem to find out if they have anything for 10 core temps.

What program should I use? Please advise.

Thx .. neilkaz ..

+1 HwMonitor...also make sure no other monitoring software is running (asus ai suite etc)- otherwise you may get some wonky results

I tried Real Temp on x299 with 7800x six core.

RealTempGT.exe will show temp on all cores but not correct CPU frequency
RealTemp.exe will show correct CPU frequency but only 4 cores.

Hardware monitor will give you a better overall look.

CAM software has a nice HUD [CPU,Memory,Timing, ect..]
but just shows temp of CPU not all cores

Cam Software
Do not have to create an account its free.

hope this helps

For real temp it allows you to calibrate for most accurate Temps, if by frequency you are referring to Cpu speed then that is irrelevant, don't worry about that, historically real temp is the most accurate,

Hw is a great software and i use it myself but some of its readings are off, Cpu, ram, GPU Temps seems to be reliable.

I have not tested real temp on 10 core so I would be very interested in seeing if it reports all cores or not. Highest i have uses it with was my 6 core

Anecdotal side note. HWMonitor still reads my CPU temp as 122°C (250°f) and has since day one. That's why I use 3 temp programs: HW, Speccy and RealTemp.

Snaike, do you mean mobo temp ?    I think that's been your concern, which doesn't count for anything, anyways.  Big%20Smile

Oh forget mobo, Cpu, GPU Temps are the ones that need watching, take the rest of the readings with a grain of salt

downloaded Intels Extreme Tuning Utility yesterday

You can monitor just about everything in detail in your PC

And tune it , which I'm not going to do
But it's very customizable
Monitor what you want or everything

Just another one but was able to see everything on x299
