Really, any tower will be better. More cooling allows higher performance grade components.

Ohhhh... you're looking to MOVE to a tower from your laptop! How did I miss that??

hoserator is right again. If you'd like advice on a desktop, your budget, use, and monitor resolution you want to use are essential info. We'd be happy to help out.

Any PC you get here is going to be much better in specs and performance then what you have now. It depends on how much you want to spend and at what performance levels you want. Like I said, even the cheapest "tower" here will be a big upgrade.

Take your favorite games now and in the near future you want to play, see what their recommended specs for a PC are and then you have an idea of what you might want to get. This would be my best advice to you before you spend any money.

If you are on a tight budget, look hard at the Lynx Level 3 "Best". It's a solid rig at a great price for gaming strong at 1080p for several years ahead. $1299. It is a couple of magnitudes stronger than what you have.

If you have considerably more to spend, let us know, and we'll help you with a custom build that won't break the bank. We'll need to know if you are okay staying with 1080p. I'm at 1080p for 10 years, and it's fine for me.
