First of all, thank you DS for letting me play some of my favorite games in more gorgeous detail then before (plus screenshots). As always, I'm gonna be a little wordy. Onto the meat of my question; I noticed today that my GPU hit a max of 90 degrees Celsius. Now, I'm not freaking out or anything but I'm wondering if where I place my Krypton has any difference on how hot components get. For example: Playing on a hard bar counter yielded me a max of 85 degrees Celsius on the GPU. But then I had to move to due to avoid disrupting my brother studying. Now I have it on a fairly thick old geography book on my lap and that's where I hit the 90 degrees. Sooo I guess I'm asking if any of ya'll have an idea whether or not that would add more heat to my GPU? Thanks! |

The hard countertop itself is cooler and dissipates heat better than a book, so you'll see some of that translate into your temp readings.
You basically want to keep it off surfaces that absorb heat. So avoid fabrics and the like. As for your GPU temps, I get the same on my Krypton when Skyrimming the day away, so no worries there. |
