Hello everybody. I am a newbie to this forum and for the most part PC gaming, so please forgive me in advance for my unpolished post. So far my PC gaming experience is limited to the Sims franchise. However, I have a desire to branch out to other genres such as GTA, Overwatch, etc. I want a PC capable of playing the Sims 4 and other titles in highest settings. I have zero interest or understanding of overclocking. I am also not looking for bells and whistles such as lighting effects and other cosmetics. I want the most bang for my buck with the money being dispersed to the necessary components and not the physical appearance. The Vanquish 7 has caught my interest.

Budget:
[$1500-$2000]

Expectations:
run games on hightest settings

Usage:
light gaming and web surfing

Hi goonch, Welcome to the forums.

For your needs and budget the Vanquish level 3 is right on.    Assuming you game on a 1920x1080 monitor, the gtx 1070 will max out most if not all games.   It is best bang for your buck.

Without added overclocking that you really don’t need, the air cooler works.

Good luck .

To add what bp said, we actually can't tell which pc is best without knowing your monitors native resolution, otherwise we are guessing like bp just had to do.

So to be sure what is the native resolution of your monitor

Sorry about that. I actually don’t have a monitor yet as I currently use a laptop. Can you suggest a monitor that would best compliment this build?

Lol you are doing it backwards.

First you choose the monitor then you choose the system that maxes out that monitor, otherwise you will endup wasting your money.

The way to get best bang for your buck is to find your monitor first then we built a PC to Max that monitor for you in your games.

So first you need to decide if you want a 60hz monitor or 144hz monitor.

Next decide on resolution and size, higher the resolution the better the image details.

Then decide on tn or ips panel, ips has best image quality but some complain of bleeds, i and few other ips owners don't notice that stuff and stick with our ips, some go tn.

With ips you have the best image quality and viewing angles. (no need to center yourself in front of the monitor.)

With tn price is lower, but you have to center yourself in front of the monitor, image quality is no where near ips.

You will hear tn owners sight lots if reviews on line about bleeds and etc for ips but you will not hear us ips owners on this forum actually have those complaints or they are not noticeable to us, which means they don't matter, so take all reviews with a grain of salt.

So decide those 3, Panel, refresh rate (60hz vs 144hz), and resolution.

Once we know those then we can tell you what will max it out without wasting any money.
