I am going to get a new system and am a little confused about the real difference between the QX 6850 and the QX 9650. Performance seems about the same for the price. I guess the 9650 is cooler and stuff,,but worth the diff? Also if I go with the 6850 how much ram and what kind would you guys get. I will use this to play FSX and want all the frame rates I can get. I have a GTX 260 picked out for video. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

qx is a quad extreme chip
so one is an extreme chip the other is not. they are both very similar in price and stuff. both have 3.0GHz speed 1333MHz cache and most likely with liquid cooling you will get the same OC speed of 3.8 to 4.0 GHz. match the ram to your FSB or get a 1066 and OC it to 1333MHz. you might have a better luck going with the dual core E8xxx CPU. |

ya but the qx runs much hotter unfortunately.
at the same time I personally don't use nothing but extreme chips. |

I recommend you get a 3. 20 GHz QX6850 Quad Core Processor and then ask them to overclock it to 4.00 Ghz. The guys at Cyberpower done that.
