what would be best (fastest for the system as a whole)
using the q9550 on the 780i with:

8gb ddr2 800mhz OCZ   or
4gb ddr2 1066mhz OCZ (SLI READY)

also ... would 8gb 1066 OCZ be even better (and available ?)

more ram = more multitasking, once you get to 4GB there isn't much you can do unless you do some heavy graphic design.

which is faster 8GB 1066MHz or 4GB 1066MHz? both are the same speed.

in short for you, big mistake to go with 8GB of ram, 4GB of OCZ at 800MHz will do just fine, you are not gonna notice a difference between 800MHz and 1066MHz.
