I have the Digital Storm Lynx and am currently air cooled but looking to possibly go liquid cooled in the near future with a Corsair RGB cooler I know there is the options of single fan in the back and single/double/triple fans in the front for a liquid cooler so I am wondering which size cooler would you recommend? My friend said the double fan 1 actually has better cooling than the triple fan so I am looking for opinions

Choose a double fan model.
iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT | Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX | Corsair Hydro Series™ H100i RGB PLATINUM | Corsair
That's not quite true, though depends on several factors. The more surface area (e.g., 240mm/2x120mm fans vs. 360mm/3x120mm fans) will cool more effectively. However, for most users, the 240mm models are the sweet spot. |

I was also looking into upgrading. I was looking at asus’ 360mm which is a 3 fan. I dod not know if it would fit though. Why would you recommend a 2 fan over 3?

Mainly because of what you found out, size! It is a lot easier to accommodate a 2-fan versus a 3-fan inside most cases. Thermally, it is just arithmetic. More is better! |

Keep in mind the coolant cools the proc, and the fans cool the coolant. There is a diminishing return to each additional fan. DS has established the dual fan cooler as the optimal return per dollar in the all-in-one. As MrCheetah said, "240mm models are the sweet spot".
