I love this system, but I am hating the game selection. New control system = bait for gimmicky shovelware, less support from 3rd pary developers. There's only like 5 games I've played in Wii that I could say were "awesome"
 
Metroid, Mario galaxy, Super Paper Mario, No More Heroes, and Red Steel (Yeah, I thought it was good) Oh, and I guess Resident Evil 4, but I already played that on GC.
 
I was going to get a PS3, but I think I'm just going to get a new PC from DSO next spring :) Screw consoles!

Might I suggest Super Smash Bros Brawl, since that seems to be one of the signature games for the Wii.
 
Red Steel was nothing they advertised it out to be in my opinion. I was very dissapointed with the over all game. The new Mario Kart for the Wii is also alot of fun as well, and thats speaking from personal experience.
 
Other games I found enjoyable on the Wii, would be anything sport related, especially baseball, and tennis. I havent yet had the chance to try out the Madden game on the Wii, but if it has interactions like the other sport games, I am sure I will like it.

I bought a wii...... I have wii fit, brawl and a few other games...but ive only played it for maybe a total of 5 hours in the 2 months ive had it.....I dont like it at all..
 
It will be another reason why i hate consoles....my last 3 consoles were :
 
Nintendo Wii (hate it)
Sega Dreamcast (discontinued 2 months after i got it)
Sega CD (piece of crap and discontinued i dunno when after i got it) Though there was one good game on it that i still play actually...Third World War haha.

I had a Wii but I sold it.  I got Smash Bros Brawl but it was over too quick and not that great of an improvement over Smash Bros Melee in my opinion.  I should have known better though... same thing happened to me with my gamecube.  I just could not resist getting one and when I did it just did not have the selection of games that fits my taste.  I'll probably do the same and get a ps3 since they tend to have a game selection that fits my style.

If you want games that take longer to complete then you needed to pick better games.

need for speed carbon was a great one on there.

Its not really that I want games that take longer to complete... its just the games Nintendo puts out (not Wii specific... just nintendo in general) don't really appeal to me as much as the games the PS puts out.  I mostly like to stick with good fighting games and complex rpgs (like the disgaea series) and I just feel that Nintendo is usually lacking in those two departments.  Don't get me wrong its a good system just not for me.  Its definately the best for fans of platformers and games of that nature.

Well I can't say I don't agree, I have all 3 Wii, ps3 and xbox, and you are right Nintendo in the graphic department and in some games, story line sucks.

I enjoy racing games and rpgs games and fighting games myself and the racing and fighting on ps3 or xbox for sure are better, but the Wii has does have a few good games like zelda, metroid and stuff, if you are old school like me

There is nothing old schoolabout the new zelda and metroid except for the main characters.I do like downloading the original nintendo and turbo graphix 16 games they truly are old school and the games still prove challenging to this day has anyone beat mario 2 I sure cant.My favorite right now is mario cart. The problem I have with the wii is that good games for it are scarce and the online play need some work. That said I havent actually played my wii for about 4 months I love xbox and pc games.Hug
