I can't install most games.... it ends up giving me an error on some games... and i made a thread a awhile back, and they suggested that i take 1 stick of ram out of my PC and try to install it, and the game installed fine... so they said something was wrong with my ram and GPU... or something.... would DS let me send back my old RAM and replace it with stuff that works? and also: it takes about 3 minutes to load a MP map on crysis.. while it take my bros comp about a minute. and i have more powerful RAM then him. any suggestions?

Thanks! :P

Sounds like you may have a bad stick.  Send both sticks back to Corsair and they'll mail you a brand new matched set for free replacement.  Lifetime warranty.

first off your faster don't mean that much specially if its only one step up from your brother.

run memtest for a few hours and see if it passes or not.

if your ram is bad and you are under warranty then call DS and they will send you a replacement stick for the ones that are bad.

it does sound like you got one or more bad stick of ram, however who ever told you that its the type of ram you have is an idiot.

if you are not under warranty with DS then do as ed says and call corsair, they should take care of you.

but run the test first and try and isolate the bad stick/s

From what I have read harley is correct in saying corsair has issues with nvidia mobos. DS even switched my corsair ram out to OCZ when I got my new mobo installed cause it was not passing their tests. I would go with OCZ also.

I have corsair dominator in mine and it is still at DS for repairs. They are in the process of changing the mombo from xfx to an EVGA nforce 790i FTW digital pwn. I guess let Duke know I would be ok to change my mem to OCZ PC3- 16000 platinum low-voltage triple channel if he needs to get it running right ( I will send him an email) who knows maybe that is part of the reason he couldnt get it to pass all the tests. What do you guys think?

In all honesty, it varies from time to time. I personally choose Corsair, but thats my own personal opinion. I have seen Corsair work perfectly fine in every type of config you could create with us. However, in the past, I have seen OCZ also do the same. I do however know that the Corsair Dominator DHX is out performing OCZ if im not mistaking. So thats something to consider.

Ya corsair is outperforming OCZ.Sorry I butt in on your thread. In my case it seems the Nvidia 790i boards are very finicky on what they want to work with. I just emailed Duke to let him know if he changes my mombo and still has problems I would be OK with him changing to the best possible OCZ Mem to get it working if there is a conflict with corsair. Whatever the corsair dominator dhx equivalant is in OCZ.

Honestly I advise OCZ myself all the time cause the warranty is the same, but corsair is great too, I will say it again, to say your ram does not play well with your GPU is nuts.

its never your ram unless you ram is bad, if you had to change your ram its because of your buggy mobo not the ram.

as Sarah pointed out, corsair is a great ram, its not the ram or the GPU, its the mobo. But its much easier to change the ram then it is to change the mobo, so if the ram change will do it, then ya change the ram, but please understand, there is nothing wrong with the ram, your mobo is not playing nice with it.

those same ram sticks will work just great for me or anybody else that does not have your mobos.

So PG1 you don't need to change your ram nor does anybody else, unless you are having problems between your mobo and ram.

I've always used Corsair RAM from the day I started gaming back in the day and have never had problems with it unless I had a bad stick, which has happened on rare occasions. There are just so many variables that can cause an issue so it's important to look everywhere before pointing to one thing.  I could say that Corsair doesn't work well with my MOBO, but the real problem is that it doesn't work well at 1066MHz.  It works perfectly at 800MHz.  That's my MOBO's issue, not the RAM.
