I just received my DS rig. Yaah for me !
One problem, I tried using my linksys usb (WUSB54GS ver1) and Win 7 does not like. From what I've read on cisco and various other forums, it doesn't look like this device will ever be supported. Can anyone recommend a good wireless solution? I'm currently connecting to linksys router (wrt54gs). Plan to upgrade to Gig/N router at some point. I lean toward linksys since I've had pretty good experience with them overall and I'm familiar with their config. |

Ok, to answer me own question...
Bought Belkin N+ Wireless USB Adapter (F5D8055) . Had a little trouble getting it installed. Windows 7 issues mostly. I ended up downloading and installing, from another computer , latest driver prog. and running it in Vista sp2 compatibility mode -- otherwise I kept getting error that it only worked in Win xp/Vista.I then fumbled around getting it connected to my linksys router. |

Was looking into similar issue with linksys wireless-usb N if it's supported by win 7 64-bit or not. Since DS offers it with their win 7 OS i'm assuming it will work with the 64-bit version as well. |

I must have missed that. I didn't see network adapters as an option to add when customizing.
As the linksys usb adapter I was using was version 1 of linksys's wireless-g with speedboost, it was quite old. I suspect wireless-n adapter should work but, like I said I had to fiddle with things to get it to install. http://www.w7forums.com/application-compatibility-mode-t314.html Edited by wt_oneil - 05 Nov 2009 at 8:49pm |
