Have the new DS system for a few weeks now. Only stupid thing from DS was that they didn't match the fan color to the internal light, which I asked about at the time I purachased it and during the build as well. They offered to replace it if I returned the tube, but I don't feel like doing that, so I will live with it.
My problem is that Windows 7 hangs at shutdown - A LOT. It creates an event log, which always says it was improperly shutdown. The interwebs are full of this problem. It seems to be a driver issue and/or something running in the background. It doesn't happen @ every shutdown, but it happens more often than not. I removed everything but the Razor mouse & G110 keyboard. Mointor is a HP ZR24w.
Just before shutdown, I'm showing 44-45 processes with 21-24% memory being used, though I don't have anything actually running.
1) Has anyone had this problem with a DS system before? I know it's Win7's problem, but it's due to how it interacts with everything. Perhaps there is something specific that DS intalls that needs....something?
2) Can I assume that DS updated all the drivers before it shipped to me?
3) ANY advice on how to fix this? Easily?
These forums helped me build this rig, perhaps they can help me debug it as well! Thanks.......

1) i havent seen it reported before, id point at the mouse and keyboard first, remove those drivers see if you have the same problem
2) you can, or you can check in device manager.. the only drivers they should have on there would be video card and maybe sound card or SSD drivers if you have those, not much to check
3) have to find the source to fix it, and have to remove most anything that is a driver or has a process running when you try to shut down to do that
its definitely a software problem, which is good

Ender, do you remember I asked the same question before? BW, TY for the help.
Unfortunately, the problem still exists in the Shutting Down screen just staying on until I power down my PC manually. It happens sometimes but I don't get any signs of my PC being shut down improperly. It boots up like nothing ever happened.
Prior to shutting down, maybe wait for a while. This is the only tip I know b/c it improves the chance of a normal shut down for me. Not always but a last resort. BTW, I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64.

check and see what programs are running, should be easy to track down which on is causing the issue.
