Windows 11 on recently ordered PC

I placed an order prior to Windows 11 being a thing. My PC is still in the build process. My order has windows 10.However a few days later WIN 11 started showing up as the new OS in the configuration options. Does anyone know if DS will install Windows 11 instead of 10?

Watching this thread too since my new system is in Stage 4 and Win 11 is the new standard. Oh well, regardless I am just looking forward to my replacement for my old 12 year old DS Beast!

Sure they will, especially if you're not far enough along to have the OS installed yet. My history with DS is they absolutely want you to have the rig the way YOU want it. If there are limits, I don't know what they are. There may be a small diff in price, but negligible, I'm sure. Call 'em.

Thanks. I don't think there is a charge as they have replaced 10 with 11 by default in the configuration. I thought that DS may just install it by default since it's the new standard. I will probably leave the 10 option and upgrade to 11 on my own. If it's not installed by default. I'm kind of worried changing it may cause a delay which I don't want. My PC has been in stage stage 3 for almost 2 weeks now. Very excited to get my pc!

It won't cause any delay at all. I don't know if DS will change it without notice, it's not what you ordered. If there is a price diff, it would be in the base price of the model you selected, not the OS page.

I ordered Win 10 which was all that was offered at the time along with the Win 11 Ready MB TPM setup. I will be happy with Win 10 or Win 11 and will deal with whatever shows up.

I just hit Stage 6 where they are wiping off fingerprints and verifying Benchmarks. I figure I am just a week or two away from whooping some of you smug Gamers now that I can fight on an equal playing field!


I am excited as anybody 69 years old could be about getting a new Gaming Beast!
