When I purchase Windows 7 Home Premium in October, should I buy the full version rather than the upgrade version? My Windows Vista OEM DVD has many light data side surface scratches on it when it was shipped. All of my CD's that came with the computer including the OS, motherboard and video card drivers were lightly scratched on arrival.

From my understanding,
In order to do the upgrade you have to already have that version. So If you have Vista Home Premium You can just upgrade to Windows 7 Premium. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong though |

Yes, you need the past version of the WIndows 7 that you had to upgrade.. I already preordered :) the upgrade version is supposed to allow clean installs, so no prob in that area.

If you get the free upgrade, will a disc be shipped to you? Is it a download? I'm not sure how to reformat and install windows from a DL.
