DST...I love you man...but after all of the "it wont matter in games" posts you are getting 4 295's ?!?!?!?!?!?! You could run Crysis at 246,000,000 x 163,000,000, on an IMAX movie theatre screen, at 300 fps with that rig!!
I KNEW YOU WERE MY KIND OF GUY!! Way to go dude. Gratz.

everything I got has a reason behind it, minus the ram and the CPU, those I got due to preference, spending my money is one thing, but somebody else's money is a different story, I would never recommend my config to anybody else unless they wanted to fold, I couldn't sli 4 x 295 even if I wanted to anyways
I'm a power user, my rig is not for games, don't get it twisted

This is the perfect time to buy a brand new system from Digital Storm especially with the free upgrade to Windows 7 that is being included!!
I have been running Vista 64 Home Premium on my beast I bought a few months ago. Even for those of us that bought systems already the upgrade through Microsoft to Windows 7 isn't too bad during their limited half price sale.
I went ahead and pre-ordered the Windows 7 Premium at $49.99 to be shipped to my home. With tax and shipping it was $58.40 which is still a pretty decent discount from the base normal price of $119.99 before tax and shipping. They also mentioned they won't charge the credit card till it ships at the end of October.
I am looking forward to seeing how it compares to Vista 64. Most people I talk to say Vista 64 is ineffecient and slow but I have never noticed that. It has always ran very fast for me. Maybe having a DS Beast 920 overclocked to 3.59 with a 295 and 6 GB makes even bad software seem good. |

well, i wouldn't call it free, it's 33 dollars ;p but yes, that is certainly cheaper than what the full version runs for. however, aren't upgrades, well, "messy" compared to fresh installs? i'm not sure i'd want to go through the pain that might be involved.... then again, windows 7 does look pretty, which has to count for something :) |

I have been told if you want to fresh install, you stick in the win7 dvd and when it ask where you OS is or vista is, you can just pop in the vista DVD and win7 will do a fresh install of win7
