When configuring your system (for purchase) there is an option called "windows boost" that will disable all non critical services in windows and tweak others.
Anyone have any thoughts or more information about this service?

basically, with vista, they will tweak the rig to run only crucial services, id assume they also fix the power settings, possily user account control... all things that you could do on your own. but its the same thing as overclocking, your paying for the convienience, you can get a lot out of vista by checking this out
