ive got vista home premium 32 bit and after I updated everything, windows defender will not start up it says : Application failed to initialize 0x800106ba A problem caused this programs service to stop. restart etc etc... anyone else had this problem? any way to fix?

Ouch!, thats a long list of updates! I just used the disaster recovery disk and just did not even enable the windows defender to avoid the problem altogether. perhaps there was a conflict with my antivirus?
